School-Start Consultation Services
The goal of the Lutheran Schools of America is to establish two new schools per year within the congregational membership of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. A broad range of consultation services are available through the national office of Lutheran Schools of America. Congregations are both encouraged and advised to contact the LSA office even if the desire to establish a school is not an absolute certainty but is in the "consideration" phase.
The mission of the administration of LSA is to serve the members of ELS-affiliated congregations by guiding a planning process which appropriately determines the advisability of a school-start/school-expansion decision. In addition to conducting direct school-start/expansion feasibility studies, the professional and consulting staff of LSA can provide the following services:
- Pastoral consulting
- Leadership development
- Volunteer engagement
- Strategic, business and budgetary planning
- Research gathering (including demographic studies)
- Personalized congregational fund-raising
- School marketing and promotion
- Architectural and design counsel
- Professional teacher placement and counsel
