The Board for Stewardship of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod has created a plan to develop financial support for the Lutheran Schools of America. The plan is titled, "For You and Your Children" and represents the theme of the 2006 ELS Synod Convention. The textual reference for the theme is Acts 2: 39, "The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call."

The Board for Stewardship has unveiled the stewardship plan during the days of the 2006 Synod Convention. Congregational leadership will carry the plan to the individual members of ELS congregations during the fall of 2006. Financial commitments made toward the fulfillment of "For You and Your Children" will be made throughout 2007 & 2008.
